PARKES IMAGES PHOTOGRAPHY

Jodi Forestell

I love to shoot portrait photography! And the shot is always better when my subject is unaware that I am there. It's great fun and I am always honoured when asked to do it.

Laura & Tucker

Laura and I met over 10 years ago while we were both employed at
MT Bellies Restaurant. She was the dining room manager and
helped me through my training.

Her son Tucker is a really sweet boy. Very polite and even more charming.
I just love his freckles!

After spending a bit of time with the two of them, I could see
that they are a team. They get along very well and take
care of each other.

Laura asked if I could add a butterfly to the portraits.
Butterflies have a very personal, significant and special
meaning for Laura and Tucker.

"It was great to connect with you again Laura.
I enjoyed our time together."

The Coulson Girls

The Coulson gals!
These three ladies are simply...beautiful.

Her little grand daughter has such a sweet face.
She would sit, pose and smile for me on her terms only. Clever girl.

A generations portrait of Heather, her daughter Ashley and her grand daughter.

The three girls were so natural and at ease with each other.
The love and bond they share is easy to see.

I could just SQUEEZE her!

Thank you Heather for having me photograph
these very special portraits.

The VanDriel Family.

The VanDriel family shoot was originally scheduled at Jaycee Park, but the weather changed everything and in the end we shot at their home in Beamsville. The backyard is beautiful and backs on to orchards filled with fruit trees.

This pose of the kids was slightly forced.

Jenneke and Leo have been married for 20 years. They told this was the first time they've had portraits done since their wedding.

This is the kind of posing the kids wanted to do...hee hee. I love this one!

It was wonderful to see you again VanDriel family. Thank you very much for inviting me into your home and allowing me to spend some time with you all.

Bev's & Mike's Family

Last year, I donated a gift certificate to the Quarry's annual golf tournament. Bev was the winner and last Saturday we got together with her family to have some fun.Her little grandson was on the move!

He was hard to keep up with and I was sweating by the time we were done.

He had us all chasing him.

I was able to distract him near his Grandma's garden. He started to pick her flowers but she didn't mind at all. I am sure he can do no wrong.

The idea here was to have him stand with his parents and grandparents in the background. He had other ideas. So....we went with it...it worked.

He loves his mama! This is one of my favorite shots from the whole session.

Mom and dad laid on their tummy's and Grandma would plop him in the middle. I could barely click my shutter before he would tumble off of them.

He loved his wagon too.

Thank you very much to Bev & Mike and Jennifer & Dale and of course their little man who was the star of the show!
